Tanning salon Madrid, the largest Tanning Centre in the world, opened its first office in Australia on March 1.
Its founder, Tanith Muthuraman, says the business is a way to get the message across about the importance of tanning, particularly for those living with skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis and cystic fibrosis.
Tanning is an integral part of daily life for many Australians, especially the elderly.
“We think the world is changing and people need to be empowered to choose their own skin colour,” she said.
“For many people, their skin colour has to change, so they choose to have an inner beauty clinic or to go to a skin clinic to see their skin.”
Ms Muthunam said she is committed to offering the best services in a safe environment.
“I have been working in the tanning industry for 25 years and this is my first experience working in a commercial setting,” she added.
“When you start your journey in this industry, you will find yourself wanting to learn how to work in a different way and I am here to help.”
It is a wonderful way to show people the world can be beautiful and there is no need to conform to society.

It allows customers to take a skin survey and send photos of themselves for the online salon.”
The way we operate is by giving the customers the opportunity to take photos of their skin in their own personal space,” she explained.”
We have a free skin survey where customers can rate their skin tone and their experience with the tanner.
“In the end we are making a profit.”
People can then send their photos to us for the service.
“The app also allows customers the option to request a professional tattoo.”

“Our customer service team is really excited to be here in Australia and to have our customers in our facility for free,” she continued.
Ms Tones customers can also pay for a tattoo with their bank card or credit card.
The app was launched at a time when many people were concerned about the cost of tanbing.
“This is a good way for us to show our customers we are doing it for them,” she concluded.
