N.Y. City Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez is proposing a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case of a homeless woman who allegedly robbed two tanning booths in the New York City East Village.
According to a statement released by Rodriguez’s office, the woman entered the tanning facility at 434 West 42nd Street on July 5, 2018.
According the statement, the victim was waiting in the lobby when a male employee walked into the building.
The victim was robbed, according to the statement.
The woman is accused of stealing a $20 cash box from the Tanning Spa at 454 West 42st Street.
According a statement from Rodriguez’s staff, the suspect fled in a white or dark-colored sedan.
The suspect was last seen on the same day the woman was arrested.
According Rodriguez, the investigation is ongoing.
